I don’t think that Sarah Silverman gets nearly enough lady hero love.
I’m not sure if it is because she wore pigtails well into her 30s or if it is because society frowns upon those who consistently wear cargo pants but nevertheless, Sarah deserves the praise and admiration that is flanked on to the other modern ladies of comedy in today’s world.
I think that there is a huge misconception about Sarah— that she is this loud, crude, rowdy and vulgar girl— but that really isn’t the case at all. I used to proclaim that I didn’t like her but the truth of the matter was, I didn’t know a single thing about her.
The fact is, Sarah Silverman is a lot more than just vagina jokes and baseball tees. She is a deeply interesting person who smart and quick and has been around for a long time. Her fellow comics are constantly singing her praises saying that she is one of the biggest supporters and perpetuators of aspiring comedians and writers in the industry today.
I would love for more people to appreciate her. And for everyone to know just how neat of a person she is. If you would like to learn more about Sarah and/or your ears are just looking to have a good time, I cannot recommend these two episodes of podcast fabulousness enough: You Made it Weird #9 and Comedy Death Ray, ep. 52.
Thank you and good day to you, mon ami.
